AdBlock Network

What is the DoH blocker and how do you stop it from sending telemetry?

Modern browsers often enable DNS over HTTPS (DoH) by default. While it encrypts your DNS queries, it also diverts them to centralised Google or Cloudflare servers, bypassing your perimeter blockers and harvesting hidden usage telemetry.

Enforcing local filtering against DoH

DoH bypasses your operating system's local hosts file. AdBlock Network resolves this at the tab level. To protect your privacy, it performs asynchronous, read-only requests to multiple independent endpoints, keeping your perimeter firewall active. This blocks ad requests at the Address layer locally before the browser attempts to resolve them via DoH.
