2. Minimization Principle and Privacy by Design (Manifest V3)

At AdBlock Network, we apply a strict zero-tracking policy. The software has been designed using the modern Manifest V3 browser extension architecture. This means that:

  • 100% Local Processing: The filtering and blocking of over 5 million malicious or advertising domains and addresses are executed internally and locally within the user's browser using declarative APIs (such as declarativeNetRequest).
  • No History Access: The extension does not collect, read, store, or sell users' browsing history, IP addresses, or any other personal data related to online activity.
  • No Telemetry: The web portal does not use third-party analytics trackers. The only technical communication the extension performs consists of read-only asynchronous requests to our endpoints to keep our rule databases and perimeter defenses updated.

3. Payment Management and License Data (ExtensionPay and Stripe)

AdBlock Network operates on a freemium subscription model. To ensure user security and minimize data retention, we neither store nor process any billing or credit card information.

The processes for payment, validation, and management of Premium licenses are entirely delegated to the following trusted external platforms:

  • ExtensionPay: A service acting as a secure license bridge for browser extensions. It manages the registration of the user's license associated with their email. Please consult the ExtensionPay Privacy Policy.
  • Stripe: A global payment gateway with PCI-DSS Level 1 security certification. Stripe is directly responsible for processing bank or credit card payments in an encrypted manner. Consult the Stripe Privacy Policy.

The developer of AdBlock Network only has access to internal purchase identifiers provided by the ExtensionPay API and the customer's email for Premium license validation and support; we never have access to your bank details.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

In accordance with Article 6 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the legal basis for processing the user's email address during the purchase process is:

  • Performance of a contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR): Necessary to provide, activate, and maintain the functionality of the Premium license acquired by the user.
  • Consent of the data subject (Art. 6.1.a GDPR): In the event that the user submits manual bug reports or inquiries through our support channels.

5. Data Subject Rights (GDPR Rights)

The GDPR grants you a series of rights regarding the processing of your personal data. You may exercise these free of charge by sending an email to privacy@adblock.network, attaching proof of your identity. Your rights are:

  • Access: Request to know what data we process regarding your Premium license.
  • Rectification: Request the correction of inaccurate data (such as the license email).
  • Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): Request the deletion of your account and Premium license registration.
  • Restriction: Request a temporary suspension of the processing of your data.
  • Portability: Request the delivery of your subscription data in a structured format.
  • Objection: Object to processing based on grounds relating to your particular situation.

Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant Supervisory Authority (in Spain, the Spanish Data Protection Agency - AEPD at aepd.es).

We implement the necessary technical and organizational measures to ensure the cybersecurity of the website and prevent unauthorized access, loss, or alteration of data. Since the entire payment infrastructure is offloaded to secure HTTPS servers managed by Stripe and ExtensionPay, the risk of data breaches is proactively minimized.
