AdBlock Network

What is a DoH blocker and how to stop it from sending telemetry?

Modern browsers often enable DNS over HTTPS (DoH) by default. While it encrypts your DNS queries, it also diverts them to centralized servers run by Google or Cloudflare, bypassing your perimeter ad blockers and gathering hidden usage telemetry.

Enforcing local filtering against DoH

DoH bypasses your operating system's local hosts file. AdBlock Network resolves this at the tab level. To protect your privacy, it performs asynchronous, read-only requests to multiple independent endpoints to keep your perimeter firewall active, intercepting ad requests at the Address layer locally before the browser attempts to query them via DoH.
