1. Data Controller
The data controller for any personal data that may be collected through this web portal is:
- Owner: Juan Romero Domínguez
- Registered Office: Spain
- Official Website: adblock.network
- Privacy Contact: privacy@adblock.network
2. Data Minimization and Privacy by Design (Manifest V3)
At AdBlock Network, we enforce a strict zero-tracking policy. The software has been designed in compliance with the modern Manifest V3 browser extension architecture. This means:
- 100% Local Processing: The filtering and blocking of the 5+ million address blocks and advertising domains is executed completely locally on the user's browser using declarative APIs (such as
declarativeNetRequest). - No Access to History: The extension does not collect, read, store, or sell users' browsing history, IP addresses, or any other personal data concerning online activity.
- No Telemetry Transmission: The network portal does not use third-party analytics trackers. The only technical communication the extension performs consists of read-only asynchronous requests to our various endpoints to keep the rule databases and perimeter defenses updated.
3. Payment Management and License Data (ExtensionPay & Stripe)
AdBlock Network is distributed under a freemium subscription model. To guarantee user security and minimize data retention, we do not store or process payment details or credit card information.
The billing, license validation, and management process is fully delegated to the following trusted external platforms:
- ExtensionPay: A secure licensing bridge service for browser extensions. It manages user license registration linked to the user's email address. Review the ExtensionPay Privacy Policy.
- Stripe: A global payment gateway certified with Level 1 PCI-DSS security. Stripe directly handles banking or credit card charges in an encrypted format. Review the Stripe Privacy Policy.
The developer of AdBlock Network only has access to internal purchase identifiers provided by the ExtensionPay API and the customer's email address for validation and Premium license support. We never have access to banking details.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
In accordance with Article 6 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the legal basis for processing the user's email address during purchase is:
- Performance of a contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR): Necessary to provide, activate, and maintain the functionality of the Premium license acquired by the user.
- Consent of the data subject (Art. 6.1.a GDPR): In case the user voluntarily sends manual bug reports or support inquiries.
5. Data Subject Rights (GDPR Rights)
The GDPR grants you rights regarding the processing of your personal data. You can exercise these rights free of charge by sending an email to privacy@adblock.network with proof of identity. Your rights include:
- Access: Request information on what data we process regarding your license.
- Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate details (such as your license email).
- Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): Request deletion of your account and Premium license record.
- Restriction: Request temporary suspension of data processing.
- Portability: Request delivery of your subscription data in a structured format.
- Objection: Object to processing based on grounds related to your personal situation.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Spain, the Spanish Data Protection Agency - AEPD at aepd.es).
6. Data Security
We adopt appropriate technical and organizational measures to guarantee website security and prevent alteration, loss, or unauthorized access. Because the billing infrastructure is fully delegated to HTTPS secure servers of Stripe and ExtensionPay, data leak risks are proactively minimized.
